Looking for a different perspective on Christianity? Michael Ward is a spiritual teacher and author of “The Sixth Sola: A Spirituality of Personal Transformation.” In this conversation, Michael talks about his spiritual journey and how he discovered the Sixth Sola, the principle of walking by the spirit. He shares how this principle can be used to create personal transformation in our lives.
Michael also outlines his system for reading the Bible, which he believes is essential for understanding the spiritual message of the Bible. Christians move away from the divisive, dogmatic tendencies of the past and connect and God in a more loving way
Michael Ward is a man on a mission. A mission to spread the word about the importance of the Sixth Sola – walking by the spirit. Ward is a first-time author and was deeply impacted by his spiritual journey. It’s a journey that led him to reevaluate his relationship with religion and the Bible.
Growing up in a Christian home, Michael was taught to follow the rules. As he got older, he realized the spiritual aspect of religion is often missed or overlooked. So now he’s on a mission to change that.
Through his book, “The Sixth Sola: It’s Time to Move On from the Last 500 Years of Reformation,” Michael hopes to encourage others to begin their spiritual journey of transformation. His goal is to help people move away from the divisive, dogmatic tendencies of the past and connect and God in a more loving way.
Here are things Michael suggests you do to start your spiritual transformation:
- Read the Bible for yourself
- Don’t get bogged down in the details of different interpretations
- Look inward for your transformation
1. Read the Bible for yourself
Reading the Bible for yourself is a great way to learn more about Christianity and its history. To get started, find a Bible that you feel comfortable reading. If you’re unsure where to start, the book of Acts is a great place to begin. Keep an eye out for references to the Holy Spirit as you read. This is an important part of Christianity that is often overlooked. By reading the Bible for yourself, you can better understand Christianity and how its message can apply to your life.
Another great way to learn about Christianity and meet other Christians is to attend a Bible study. There are many different Bible studies available, so you can find one that fits your schedule and interests. Ask your pastor or another Christian friend for recommendations if you’re unsure where to start. Finally, don’t forget to pray. This is an important part of Christianity and a great way to communicate with God. If you’re unsure what to pray for, ask God to help you understand the Bible and apply its message to your life.
2. Don’t get bogged down in the details of different interpretations
The second step is to start reading the Bible for yourself. This can be a daunting task, but it is worth it to get the true message of the Bible instead of relying on others to tell you what it says. Start by reading the book of Acts, which tells the story of what happened after Jesus rose from the dead. Then, move on to reading the rest of the New Testament. As you read, keep an open mind and try to understand the spiritual message being conveyed. Don’t get bogged down in the details of different interpretations – try to understand the overall message.
Praying for guidance is a great way to understand God’s word and how to apply it to your life. This doesn’t mean that you will suddenly understand everything perfectly – but it does mean that God will start to reveal things you never noticed before.
Finally, don’t be afraid to ask questions. There are many resources available to help you understand the Bible better. Talk to your pastor, read commentaries, and join a Bible study group. You will understand God’s word more deeply by asking questions and seeking answers.
3. Look inward for your transformation
Next, read a Bible chapter each day. By reading the Bible daily, you will see how important the Holy Spirit is and how most Christians miss the Love conveyed by the Holy Spirit.
Looking within for your answers will help you see how the Bible’s message fits together and how the Holy Spirit is essential to understanding it. In this way, you can begin to understand the true message of Christianity.
